Small red damselfly, Small red damsel
The Small red damselfly mainly occurs in Western Europe, but can also be found in parts of North Africa and the Balkans.
Ceriagron tenellum is a small damselfly. Both males and females have a bronze-black thorax on top, and red-orange legs. The male's abdomen is completely red, whereas the female's abdomen is mostly black-bronze with only the start and end being red. One female morph has an abdomen which is almost completely black-bronze, with white-yellow segment divisors (save the last two which are red).
