Copper demoiselle
Common in the Mediterranean Basin (Western Europe) and North Africa.
A large damselfly. Males have a dark, metallic body (copper, gold or reddish coloured) and darkly coloured wings. The underside of the final three segments of their abdomen is a reddish pink colour. Females have a green to bronze metallic body and light brown wings with dark brown tips.
